Grandma May's Cherry Coconut Bars

Cookie bottom Ingredients:
1 cup flour
1/2 cup butter
3 Tbsp sugar


Cherry coconut topping Ingredients:
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup coconut
1/2 cup quartered maraschino cherries


Directions:
Preheat oven to 350
In medium bowl, mix flour, butter and sugar until smooth
Press mixture into pan.
Bake 10 minutes

In medium bowl, beat eggs. Stir in remaining ingredients. Spread over baked layer.


Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool completely and cut into bars
